Sleepy. And happy.
Today we planted a ton of vegetables. Peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, basil, onions. Tomorrow we do sweet potatoes, flowers, and more veggies. Drove around the farm. The view - amazing. The dogs - adorable (there are three). The company - outstanding. It's going to be a great weekend and an even better summer.
The garden is in a gorgeous pasture next to a big shade tree (where we keep our water, and where the dogs generally lie about and keep themselves cool). Next to the pasture a few cows, a bull, and a new little baby cow roam around and check us out.
We've taken some good footage, had a delicious dinner courtesy of Aunt Barb (who picked me up this morning at the airport, and whom I immediately liked).
Right now we're staying in a little house near the garden. A one room deal. There are two double beds, a couch, blow up mattress, a wood stove, small kitchen, bathroom, and a beautiful deck overlooking the garden and the farm.
For the summer we will be staying in a house further away from the garden and the pasture, more into the woods. The house is amazing. Two bedrooms and a loft with a living room, kitchen area, and lovely porch (with a taxidermy style squirrel keeping the birds away). Everything is wood. It is absolutely beautiful.
Okay... more later.
Now - sleep.
